In a world where everyone is a shifter of some kind, human forms are only necessary for all speak, and Ikuto is still a pervert despite being "royalty". First fict, better plot lining inside, flames welcome.

1. Chapter zero: A summary of the World

In a world similar to ours, there lived many kingdoms that which the rulers could take on two forms. The animal that which blessed their family ancestors, and that of their true human form. However, there had been two exceptions to this rule.

They were a couple, destined to be together, as fate would allow. One, held the Lock, the vessel to all forms possible, their name was, Humpty. The other, held the Key, the vessel that which could control the powers of the Lock. Their name had been, of course, Dumpty.

Alas, the power of this couple was not to be passed on through blood. Their heirlooms also were to be lost through time, until the power is a need for the good of the people, as it had been in ancient times.

Hopefully, the circumstances of such tragedies of the past shall not arise again.
