I do not own Halo

Leo POV now

I am Leo Graves spartan number 977485 and am currently leader of the special forces group know as the grave runners and we have been charged with battling the covenant and tracking down a war criminal named Hinrich von Totenkopf. .

Right now, the covenant is attacking one of our facility's which is where we're heading right now. I tell all of my men which adds up to four Spartans and eight marines to get ready for some fun because we landing in a combat situation.

"When the light turns green you know the drill were going to jump out of this aircraft and start killing," I said to the group and cheered excited, you could tell their moral was high.

When the green light flashed on the drop doors opened up, we jump out, I could see the chaos of battle, How I miss the battlefield.

"Let's show the covenant that were not to be messed with so they're going to be thinking twice about attacking us," I yelled to the soldiers behind me.

Third person POV four weeks earlier

Hidden within a mountain range six miles of the covenant base lies a bunker.

The interior of the bunker is metal and the walls, floors and ceilings of the bunker are metal reinforced with a heavy concrete base, all very strong and stable along with a powerful defence system which has been breached sometime ago by a female Sangheili Ultra named Rkaura'Nenilee.

In the heart of this bunker meaning the control room sat a young man with black hair pale grey eyes, which makes him look as if he were blind, but that is not the case, wearing what looks to be a black military uniform and an armband that was blood red with the Totenkopf family crest in the center.

The Totenkopf family crest is a human skull, instead of crossbones there are two scythes that appear to replace them and finally there is a pair of dark black angel wings on each side of the skull.

Standing right across from him is a female Sangheili Ultra named Rkaura'Nenile.

"Do we have a deal heretic?" said Rkaura' Hinrich von Totenkopf was sitting in a large wooden chair holding a silver ring with a skull along with several other symbols imprinted on the side but the skull was the most visible due to the fact it is the main part of the ring and the only part the seemed to bulge out of the ring

"Yes Ms, Nenilee we do have a deal," said Hinrich his eyes are not leaving the ring

Rkaura was wondering what was his fascination with his ring, what does the ring mean to him wondered Rkaura.

'What is your interest in your ring?" asked Rkaura.

"It is a family air loom given to my great, great great grandfather who was a scientist for the a vary bad group of people." Said Hinrich.

"Here are your codes and information on the local base, good luck," said Hinrich handing her a small device that she could extract the codes from.

"Thank you, harit...I mean Totenkopf " Said Rkaura leaving the bunker.

Rkaura 'Nenilee POV now

I am now on the field of battle along with my fellow warriors and thanks to the information given to us from Totenkopf which helped us get past their main defences and severely weakened their perimeter defences.

In the heat of battle, I could see the heretic ships dropping demons but one demon who seemed like the leader of the group was the one I need to take out first.

I took a closer look and prepare to strike but he dodged my attack, this should be an interesting battle.

I run up to this demon and used my blade to behead him, but he seems to easily dodge my slash.

He fires his gun at me only to have the projectile bounce off my shield, I then jump back, grabbing my sidearm and fire, but I still could not hit the demon

After much fighting, it seemed that we were losing and I still can not kill this demon.

He was chasing me along my fellow warriors that were retreating due to the odds not being in our favor.

After quite some time of running we finally successfully evaded them and are on our way back to our main base beyond a mountain pass after a transport ship retrieves us.

When we landed at the base a zealot and my commanding officer Krothic Killenaee was waiting right outside the ship to give orders.

"We must prepare for the high prophet of regret himself is on his way here" he ordered and gave us each a post and sent us off.

As I was heading to my post he grabbed my shoulder " This plant is going to be glassed, I have discussed the information about or mutual friend with the high prophet of Regret"

"Did he accuse you of heresy?" I asked sounding worried.

"At first but after we discussed the subject further, he would like to inspect the heretic for himself," he said.

"How are we going to get him to willingly come with us without a fight," I asked.

"You are going to tell him that there is no way off the planet which will soon be glassed," he said.

Hinrich von Totenkopf POV

Learning the many languages of the convent to some people may seem difficult but I managed to learn most of them, which is interesting along with their history.

I am not just a warlord, scientist, but I am also an expert on the forerunners all at the young age of nineteen.

The covenant has the resources I need in order to compleat my master plan which is to bring back the forerunners and Precursors from the brink of oblivion, I believe they are trapped in a digital person or something of the sorts due to this device know as the composer, through my research I may have fond the location of the device, but that is not relevant at this very moment.

The covenant foolishly believes that the halo gate will make them god, it is almost humorous, but they do seek to activate a halo which will wipe out all sentient species in the universe, but if I create an energy transference absorption device that could very well be a nearly unlimited source of power.

I then hear a someone enter the room, it turns out to be none other than Rkaura Nenilee.

"What is it that you need?I asked

"I have come to warn you that in three days this planet is going to be glassed, so I came to give you an early warning," she said.

An explosion suddenly erupted in the bunker which I quickly check the monitor to see where was the explosion.

"My ship it's completely obliterated!," I yelled.

I could see that Nenilee had her mandi bits curved into a smirk.

"Nenilee why did my ship spontaneously combust into a flaming mass of metal!" I yelled.

"It appears you have no way off the planet without getting yourself captured by your own kind," she said

I am not happy to say the least even know I am interested in where this conversation is going.

"What are you getting at?" I asked allowing some anger to enter my voice.

"The high prophet himself wishes to meet you personally which is a high honor which could very well give you the opportunity to join us as a member of the covenant," She explained

"So you asking me to join the covenant?" I asked.

"Yes, you should feel honored that you are the only heretic to receive the chance to convert and join our quest for the great journey!" she said.

This could work out to my advantage if I work with the covenant who's one purpose for existing is to activating the Halo array, which happens to be my goal as well.

"Alright, I will abide by your terms" I replied finally.
