The lands that would later be known as the pridelands, were barren and empty. Sure a few animals were about, but you had to really look. Deep in the distance, a rouge lion named Shetani, was roaming in search of food. She sniffed, then a male lion approached her, his name was Mpya. He was a golden brown, with a mane as dark as night. He was muscular and held his head high, as if he had nothing to fear from strange lions.
"Who are you?" Shetani asked, questioningly.
"Mpya, and you are?" the strange lion, Mpya, asked.
"Shetani." she replied quietly, "Why have you come?"
"Kuunganisha" he said slowly, "To unite"
"Unite who?" Shertani asked.
"The lions, much fighting has been going on. Soon there will be vitani, war. We must work together as one, in order to survive." Mpya said, "There will be a meeting at mwamba mkubwa."
"When?"
"Tonight, if you would like to attend." Mpya said.
"I'll be there" Shetani said definately. Mpya left then, and Shetani looked up to the stars.
"Miungu, should I trust this lion, who says he will bring unity and friends?" Shetani said woriedly.
Mpya wondered if all the lions would show up, as they said the would. Shetani was the most beautiful lion he'd seen in his life. Her ocean blue eyes shone like the watering hole on a sunny day. If this idea worked, Mpya would make Shetani his queen. Now to plan what he would say he needed to make the other lions see that his idea was very beneficial benificial. But then, what would happen if it didn't work.
The bushes rustled. Shetani stepped out. "You are questioning your idea" she said.
"How'd you guess?" Mpya replied.
She blinked, and said, "I questioned you too. But I see you are pure of heart."
"How are you so wise?" Mpya asked.
"I was raised by a shaman." Shetani said.
"Oh." he said.
"I will be there tonight." she said.
"I believe you" he replied. The sat and looked at the area. The sun was starting to set. It was one of the most beautiful sunsets you could ever see. All different shades of pinks, reds and oranges melted into each other, as if they were one.
