Well, this is it! The story that has the ultimate final showdown! Welcome to my fanfiction "Future Worth Fighting For"! Every hero and ally that has appeared in "Armour of the Eliminator", "Ronins on the Hellmouth" and the previous story "Through Dangerous Times" will all be present in this final showdown. This is set in the Wandererverse so I will explain how the premise goes as far as the Wandererverse is concerned: When Buffy died at the end of season 1 by the Master, Xander's CPR did not bring her back, instead she had been brought back to life Highlander style Immortal. Also, Jenny Calendar and Kendra did not die in this universe and Joyce Summers doesn't die from the brain tumor either and Faith stayed good. As you may have noticed in the last story there are two FBI agents who are Immortal as well: Mulder and Scully from the X Files and they are married in this universe. So, if you have a problem with them being together then you might not want to read this universe. Also, there is a heck load of references from the Legendary Adventures of Hercules and Xena Warrior Princess due to the fact that in the Wandererverse, the Greek Gods are very active as pointed out in "Ronins on the Hellmouth"!

Future Worth Fighting For
Kelly Maxwell, Pablo Simon Bolivar, who was carrying Amerie, Brandy Barr, Linda Emery, Ryo Sanada, Rekino Sanada, Rowen Hashiba, Mia Koji, Sage Date, Angel Sanada, Hana Rai Utano, Cye Mouri, Amaya Blanchet, Kento Rei Fuan, Josephine Rei Fuan, James Ferino, Riley Finn, Oliver Queen, Graham Miller, Savanna Brookston, Bruce Kelso, Dana Scully, Fox Mulder, Lady Kayura, the Balance, Angel Sanada, Sekhmet, Dais, Cale and Zoe all arrived at the Emergency Shelter where they managed to meet up with Chloe Sullivan and Twyla Koji – Ferino as she was holding Hariel Sanada.
"Is Hariel okay?" Ryo asked.
"Yes," Twyla answered, "He is safe and sound, Ryo."
"Thank goodness." Mia sighed with relief. She looked over at her fiance, "Go ahead. He's your kid too."
Ryo held his son for the very first time. Hariel looked at his father and smiled and laughed.
"He's beautiful." Kelly told Ryo, "He looks like you."
"It looks bad, doesn't it?" Oliver asked Chloe.
"I'm afraid so," Chloe answered, "The world is affected by this Time and Space demon that has been unleashed upon this world. I can only hope that you guys can think of a plan and fast to save this world."
"So it's worst than Deadites?" Kelly asked.
"I'm afraid so." Chloe nodded.
"Amerie appears to have a fever." Scully told the others, "I am going to take her to lie down. I will be right back."
"Hurry back, Dana." Mulder replied as Scully held the girl to lay down.
"That's strange, aren't immortals immune to fevers?" Kento asked.
"I believe they are." James answered, "I think something is in the air with the world being merged within the darkness. I can't believe this! After all we have worked for! It had come to this!"
"Hoshi No Lullaby" or "Star's Lullaby" played in the background as James was reflecting on all the moments leading up to now. He could remember the first time he met Twyla Koji, her half sister Mia and the Ronin Warriors. He remembered dealing with Talpa and his warlords at the time Nightshade, Boaz, Cassandra and the most twisted one of all Ami, who had a grudge against both Mia and Twyla. James remembered reluctantly agreeing to use his armor of the Eliminator to protect those he cared about against Talpa and the warlords. James could also how at first both he and Twyla butted heads at first but they ended up developing strong feelings for one another as James trained with the other Ronin Warriors: Rowen, Cye, Kento, Sage and Ryo. James could remember how determined he was after Ami kidnapped Twyla and Kayura. He was determined to rescue Twyla mostly but Kayura as well. After defeating Talpa for the first time, James took Twlya with him so she could meet his family which didn't go too well as he was put on trial for using his armor, but he was let go but he was exiled from his home in the process. James also remembered learning about the Lady Ronin Guardians through Mia and Amaya before James got married to Twyla and they moved to Sunnydale after they had their wedding ceremony.
James then remembered when he opened the dojo with his wife Twyla and met Section 7 of Sunnydale. Along that time, Talpa had been resurrected by Glory and they have tainted and controlled the Lady Ronin Guardians: Rekino, Mia, Hana, Amaya and Josephine which brought the Section 7 in alert and James calling forth the Ronin Warriors which they eventually destroyed Talpa which freed the Lady Ronin Guardians and Ryo and Rekino were able to use the Golden armor power and with the combined power of the Inferno Armors and James's armor they used the Eliminator Inferno Blast to finish off Glory.
Then came the time they were in Elk Grove, Michigan, which was six months later. James was brought to help Ash Williams deal with the forces of darkness set to kill him as he learned he had a daughter named Brandy Barr that he had taken in after her mother Candance Barr was killed during Brandy, James and Twyla's first Deadite encounter. Brandy and Ash butted heads of course at first because Brandy didn't understand the evil deal as the others did. Then the Ronin Warriors and Lady Ronin Guardians arrived to help James, Pablo and Kelly protect Ash from Ruby and the evil that was out to kill Ash. Along the way, Ruby killed Ryo and revived Baal using Ryo's body which the others eventually found out. Brandy eventually found out that the so called "Miss Prevett" was actually Ruby and died when Ruby threw a dagger at Ash which Brandy blocked the attack saving her father. However, Amerie revived Brandy. The Ronin Warriors took a trip to the Deadlands to save Ryo's soul after everyone had been all caught up. After a snag, and the birth of Hariel, the son of Ryo and Mia, Ryo was able to return to his body. The Dark Ones came and killed both Baal and Ruby, leaving the reunited Ronin Warriors, the Lady Ronin Guardians, Ash, Kelly, Pablo, Brandy, Linda, Ronin Warrior of the Nexus Armor Riley Finn and their allies to take on Kandar as well as the returning adversary Ami. Ash managed to kill Kandar with the Kandarian Dagger but despite their best efforts Ami killed Ash as he saved Brandy and Linda and Amerie opened a portal which created the Time and Space and Demon that would swallow the world and the universe into complete darkness. The heroes seemed to defeated but not before Kelly managed to rally the group not to give up as she refused to give up.
James looked down sadly, "I can't believe we lost."
"You have not lost yet Dear James," Twyla assured him, "you guys will evaluate a plan to defeat the evil and to save this world. I am sure of it."
