New Beginning

I had escaped death time and time again

But what if the one you loved was killing you?

I was shaken out of my daydream, by a more shocking thought

I was engaged, and about to married in less than a week

As I stared at the iridescent ring on my finger, guilt showered over me

Rain-faded flyers blowing in the crisp morning air

Have You Seen This Boy?

An awkward explanation of marriage to both of my parents

A nightmare I hoped would not come true

A vampire wedding, this ought to be interesting

A new face and an elegant white gown

I gazed at the unknown girl in the mirror, staring back at me

Something old and something blue, but nothing even remotely new.

Still the same old lies and secrets

I was officially perfect

One step at a time

"Till death do us part" I chuckled to myself

A passionate kiss and we were bound together for eternity

A lost werewolf friend, whom I missed dearly

Shouts of congratulations laced the air

The traditional first dance, twirling clumsily around the dance floor

An unexpected wedding present

My best friend, everything was now perfect, according to me

Running through a rice storm, seeds flying everywhere

Both of my families together for the first time

So many different kinds of love, harmonious in this one moment

In the ominous forest, a somber, heartbroken howl grew faint.
