From birth, we are taught quite a few things from our parents. Among those many things are"Two wrongs don't make a right." We all know this from common knowledge….yet how many actually understand it and enforce it in their lives? A lot of people are hypocrites in that way, it's our nature. Not a single one of us is perfect yet…….

"Raaaaven! Are you even going to come of your room today?"

A loud pounding noise came from her door as Beast Boy slammed his fist harder and harder. Raven got up from her position on the ground and stubbornly walked to the door where she was sure Beast Boy would find some other pointless thing to tell her or ask her to do.

Beast Boy was getting impatient and was about to yell something else, until the door opened just a crack. Raven's eye appeared shortly after.

"This had better be good." Raven said in her usual monotone voice.

"Ummm…..hehe….well do you remember when…..uh…"

Raven took notice to her teammates stammering and a few snickers from the hallway. Everything clicked suddenly as she took in Beast Boy's embarrassed face.

"For the last time, I don't want any part in the dares you guys do. Leave me alone!"

Raven had completely lost her cool and slammed the door right in his face. All her emotions were screaming. There was pressure building up in her chest where her heart was. Why did that dare hurt her so much? Before she could think, her bed burst up in a ray of darkness and landed facing downward. If she didn't take control of her powers quick, it would be bug trouble. As calmly as she could muster, she sat in a lotus position and began meditating.

"Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos……"

Raven had been so worked up that she didn't even hear Beast Boy knocking on her door. It had been nearly five minutes and Beast Boy finally gave up. He turned back around and walked over to where Robin and Cyborg were crouching.

"She won't answer me. Can I please have a different dare?"

"Nope. We both did our dares and your disqualified if you don't complete yours."

Robin looked genuinely happy as he always does when he has the upper hand in a competition.

"He's right BB. Besides, it's not that hard."

"Then you go and ask her out!" Beast Boy was still blushing from before.

"Just remember, you have a day to ask her. Otherwise, there will be no shot at us buying you a new moped." Robin almost sounded evil as he walked away.

"Good Luck." Cyborg teasingly said to Beast Boy as he walked away.

"Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos….."

Raven was calmer now as she meditated. Until an image of Beast Boy popped into her head. She immediately fell to the floor as different thoughts went through her head.

Why would he do that to me?

He's Beast Boy, it's not like he's mister sensitive.

But am I really such a bad girl to date?

That's the only way that I would be a part of a dare.

Am I really that ugly?

The sheer thought of him thinking of her as unattractive sent chills up her spine. Why did she have to be this way? Why did HE have to be that way?

She should be used to it by now though. There wasn't a single guy who ever treated her right. Not even her own father……. Except

Raven's eyes widened at the thought that just rushed into her head so involuntarily. She tried to push it away but it kept coming back. No…..There's no way!

There wasn't a single guy who treated her right…..except……

Robin
