Chapter 1
One day Adam shows up at Sarah's in Fresno and gets out of his car and goes up to the door and hears arguing,fighting,and crashing what sounds like glass breaking going on and a baby crying and listens for a couple of seconds.
"like hell you are taking my daughter away from me and moving her to Berkeley to live with your parents!" he gets angry with her
"screw you Seth we can't stay here with you, you might kill us both. You are drunk you idiot!" she screams at him
Seth grabs Sarah by her wrist and shirt "You don't talk to me that way EVER! DO YOU HEAR ME?" he gets upset right in her face
"Ow, Seth let go of me, your hurting me!" she tells him and rubs her wirst
Adam knocks on the door.
"don't you get that!" Seth yells at Sarah
"of course I'm going to get it and I hope it's the cops because you're being a ass and deserve to go to jail!" she yells at him going over to the door and opens it
"Hi." Adam says
"oh, Adam thank god." she hugs him
Adam hugs her back for a minute.
"I heard everything you okay?" he wonders seeing her rub her red wrist where seth's handprint is
Adam picks it up to look at it and sees Seth standing there next to the crib.
"What the hell did you do to my sister you creep, you as.." he looks at Amber in her playcrib in the kitchen crying
"your lucky I didn't use the rest of my sentence you punk!" he says poinying in Seth's chest pushing him out of the way
Seth hits the kitchen table with his back and falls to the floor.
Adam picks up Amber and soothe's her "hey munchkin, you okay?" he wonders kissing her cheek and wiping her tears with his thumb
Amber just lays her head on Amber;s shoulder sucking her thumb
"come on lets get out of here you guys want to come with me
Sarah just nods "yeah we'll follow you let me just go and grab her diaper bag and my suitcase." she tells him seeing Adam still holding Amber
"okay go get your stuff and I'll meet you outside." he tells her
"okay, thanks for coming here." she tells him
"hey I just wanted to check on my niece and sister." he tells her and smiles
"she smiles "okay." she says and goes to get both her abd Ambers bags and meets him outside
