True Feelings Revealed

A/N: Okay, first things first, it has been too long since I've submitted a fanfic here! Or written stories in general so I may be a bit rusty.

They stood upon a hill overlooking the neighborhood yet they only had eyes for each other. The boy, with bright red hair, his green eyes staring intently through his purple framed glasses toward a girl with curly brown hair and one streak of pink, eyes also green. They leaned in, getting into a loving kiss.

Lil sprung up in bed, heart pounding. "Did I? Was I? Was that…" She paused, confused. "Chuckie?"

She laid back down, wide awake. She seemed shocked by the dream, no longer able to get back to sleep.

"What could it mean?" She asked herself. "Could I be…in love?"

Lil snatched the pillow out from under her head and screamed into it.

The next day, Lil was very tired; she hadn't gotten much sleep after that weird dream.

"Lil, are you alright?" Kimi asked in concern. "You seem really out of it."

Lil yawned. "I'm fine. I just didn't sleep much last night is all."

"Why?" Kimi wondered.

"Don't know." Lil lied.

Just then Tommy and Chuckie came walking toward them.

"Hey guys." Tommy greeted, winking at Kimi.

Kimi blushed slightly. "H-Hey..."

Lil and Chuckie made eye contact and Lil's heart seemed to accelerate.

"I-I gotta go." Lil said suddenly, immediately walking off.

Tommy and Kimi shrugged. Chuckie just stood there, a look of confusion on his face.

Lil hid behind a nearby tree and sunk to her knees. "Why am I feeling this way?" She whispered to herself, covering her face in despair.

Later that day, Lil was playing with her soccer ball, most likely to get her mind off the possibility of being in love with Chuckie.

Then suddenly, Chuckie called her name. "Hey, Lil!"

Lil stopped in her tracks, catching her soccer ball in her hands. She was about to make a break for it but thought better of it, realizing that it would seem really rude.

"Oh, h-hi, Chuckie." Lil replied, under her breath.

"Are you mad at me, Lil?" Chuckie seemed concerned.

"No." Lil said simply.

"That's a relief 'cuz-" Before Chuckie could finish his sentence, Lil's lips were on his.

His eyes widened and he blushed deeply. Lil broke away, shocked at what she had just done.

"L-Lil…" was all Chuckie could say.

Tears began forming in Lil's eyes. "I'm sorry!" She burst out, running off.

"Lil, wait!" Chuckie yelled, going after her.

Chuckie caught up to her, grabbing her hand to stop her. Lil is crying, tears running down her cheeks.

"Lil… it's okay." Chuckie coaxed. He then brought her into a hug. Lil slowly calmed down. She stared into Chuckie's eyes but still was silent.

"I've always…liked you, Lil…" Chuckie smiled, blushing. And without hesitation he pressed his lips against hers.

Lil seemed somewhat surprised by his gesture but slowly kissed him back. She then got the courage to wrap her arms around his neck. And there was nowhere else she'd rather be.
