Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter.
A/N: This is my first attempt at a threesome- pairing. It was done for the fanfic100 challenge, this is my first fic in that challenge, done with the prompt Beginnings. Enjoy.
The tall, old oak tree cast a long shadow over the grounds as the sun shone down upon them. "Hermione and Ron definitely did not like me ditching them today," Harry said. In truth, since the end of their stay at Grimmauld place the summer before, they'd been very close and truly did not mind the time alone and Harry was desperately looking for a way out of this situation. The raven-haired Gryffindor—despite all of his courage—definitely didn't want to face the uncomfortable situation. Then again, he also couldn't deny it was something he wanted.
In front of him were two of the most beautiful Gryffindors the school had ever seen, in Harry's opinion. Harry sighed and sunk to a sitting position. There was no one else around, just himself, Ginny Weasley and Colin Creevey. "Harry, there's no denying it," Ginny said softly. "I saw your face when you opened the envelope, you were blushing." She gave the boy a playful slug on the shoulder.
"I was standing by the fire," Harry said, indignantly. He did not blush. "Besides… it's…."
"Different?" Colin asked. His face was as per usual split in a wide grin. "And of course, there's nothing different about Harry Potter, we wouldn't want any weird mark on his record."
Harry himself smirked at this. He could feel his own conflicting emotions break down the wall he had put up against this as he had walked out to the tree. "And it's not like we're going to go announcing anything…. Come on Harry, just give this a try… please?" Ginny scooted herself to his left side, causing Harry to blush, only a tiny bit. This was worsened when Colin moved right up against his right side.
There came a long silence as Harry contemplated the last two months, his secret meetings with Colin and Ginny together and separately, and how taken he was with them both and the mere idea of a relationship with the three of them together. Ginny and Colin linked hands in front of Harry, reaching over him. Harry watched the looks of adoration that passed between them and then were directed at him.
They broke their hold on each other's hands and then each of them took hold of one of Harry's, driving him a little bit closer to breaking. "Alright," Harry whispered. He broke the hold and put an arm around both Ginny and Colin, and they sat that way for a long while, enjoying the sunlight as it showered them in its golden glow and sank behind the horizon.
He felt each of them lean their head against his shoulders and bit his bottom lip against the emotions stirring in him. He truly was taken with these two, and who cared if there was one more weird thing in his life, especially considering the only ones who knew were the other two involved. Who knows, Harry thought, this could be the start of something new. He really liked where this was headed. It was the beginning.
Read and Review.
