Words I'm paraphrasing this relationship we're staging

And what a beautiful mess, yes it is

It's like picking up trash in dresses

- A Beautiful Mess

She's Blair Waldorf and he's Dan Humphrey.

That alone screams all kind of wrong.

She's grown on Italian silk; he's wrapped in regular cotton.

She's rich and lavish. He's plain and simple.

She's strong, confident yet needy and insecure; he's full of ramblings, uncertainties and plans.

She sneers.

He ignores.

Polar opposites shouldn't work.

Kisses shouldn't happen.

Feelings shouldn't grow.

… But they do

Somewhere along the way, 'get out' becomes 'stay', 'I'm okay' becomes 'save me' and 'I hate you' whispers an 'I want you.'

And somewhere else, an 'I hate you' accidentally becomes an 'I love you.'

'This is a mess,' he says, 'we are a mess.'

'It's only temporary,' she says, 'so don't let your boxer get in a bunch, Humphrey.'

'Because the last person I want is you,' they say, 'and I'll be damned if it's otherwise.'

Author's Note

I wanted to write something short and simple since forever and this has been nagging me since forever. Anyway, hope you guys liked it =)
