The first time she feels his skin against hers is an accident. She's tripped and Peter had reached out and grabbed her—only to accidentally grab the bare skin between her glove and her shoulder.
She's jerked back, but he held on to keep her from falling back and all of a sudden she realized that nothing was happening.
"Rogue are you—are you—your powers—they're….off?"
"I don't….I don't know. It's not like I try them on a daily basis."
"Right. We should go find the Professor. Get you checked out."
She nodded, but didn't move. She stared at his hand on her arm, watched as he trailed it down, grabbed the edge of her glove and pulled. She felt naked without it, but then he took her hand again and all she could feel was his soft skin against her, and she squeezed his hand and let her body flow closer to his as they started for home.
