A/N: I do not own Buffy the Vampire Slayer. This is a one-shot/drabble piece. My reaction to the many Xander betrayed stories stemming from his "lie" to Buffy before she sent Angel to hell.
Hope you like!

Buffy stared at Xander in disbelief. "What did you say?" she asked.
"Please don't hit me?" The young man had his arms up in front of him worried at how angry she was at him.
"Before that," she commanded.
"I said, that I'm sorry. I didn't tell you that Willow was going to restore Angels soul and I should have," he sighed, lowering his arms. "You have every right to be angry with me."
"Um, Xander?" Buffy furrowed her brow in consternation. "You do realize that I already knew that, right?"
"What do you mean?" he asked, perplexed. Xander looked at Willow and Giles for help and found none. Willow was to busy trying not to laugh while Giles stood cleaning his glasses so he wouldn't have to see what he knew was coming.
It had never been his intention to inform Buffy that he had lied to her, but when Willow returned from L.A. with news of having re-ensouled Angel yet again, and the scoobies had begun discussing the first time, it seemed to have come up on its own. So Xander had been left with no recourse but to blurt out a quick apology and pray for mercy. He just hadn't quite expected this reaction from Buffy.
Buffy smiled as she gently patted her friend on the shoulder. Xander tensed for a moment in fear, but relaxed once he realized the slayer wasn't going to punch him. Still, she looked at him with something akin to pity in her eyes.
"Xander, I hate to break the news to you," Buffy remarked, shaking her head sadly. "But I already knew all of that. You see Xan, you're a horrible liar."
"What!?!" Xander stood straight, his fear replaced by indignation. "I'll have you know I'm a great liar! Tell her Will!"
"Actually Xander, she's right," Willow laughed. Seeing the seething, hurt look on her best friend's face, she quickly reiterated her statement. "That is to say, you were a bad liar then. But not anymore. Right Buffy?"
"Oh yeah," Buffy nodded in hurried agreement. "Totally horrible then but much better now!"
Xander didn't buy it. "You know, I don't have to take this kind of abuse. Yeah, I don't. I'll just … I'll just hang out with Faith from here on out. Come on Faith."
"Hey leave me out of this Z. This is between you and them," Faith said, raising her hands up to ward him off.
"Fine," Xander sulked. "I'll just go hang out with the mini-slayers then. At least they appreciate me." He left the room, trying to take with him as much of his dignity as was possible.
Buffy gave Willow a worried glance. "Should we tell him that it was the mini-slayers that poured the honey in his bed last night?"
"That won't be necessary," Giles interjected. "He'll find out soon enough."
Buffy, Faith and Willow all stared at him questioningly. Giles shrugged.
"They've been bragging about it to everyone. Seems they're rather proud of it," he explained, watching the door Xander had just exited through.
Fin.
