Lie to me: FANfiction: Callian: Tell her.
He wanted to tell her, everything, and nothing.
He wanted to tell her his feelings for her, before another man did.
He would tell her, he had to.
So, he invited her to have diner with her, for a night, at his house.
She was wearing a beautiful dark red dress, with black high heels, and when Cal saw her, he couldn't stop thinking that she was the prettiest woman he had ever seen. Until he met her seven years ago, he had never seen a woman more beautiful.
But she had been married then. Now, of course, she is divorced, and he has a chance to be with her.
Tonight, he will tell her.
- Gillian, I have to tell you something very important, began Cal.
- Me too, she replied, after drinking the end of her the glass of wine.
- It's, hard, to tell you; because I don't know what you're gonna think after that, I... I...
He couldn't tell her, he was too nervous, and scared, what if she didn't love him as much as he loved her?
What would happen to their friendship?
He waited a moment, his hand on hers, trying to get the courage to tell her, just the three magic little words, .YOU.
These three words are so easy and difficult to say at the same time.
After a couple of minutes, Gillian made the first step, to Cal's surprise;
- I love you, Cal, I've always loved you. I know, it's stupid, and there's no way you can love me much as I love you. I don't want my feelings to hurt our friendship, but I want you to know that.
She said it, while staring into Cal's eyes, tears in hers. She knew that he didn't love her back, but she had to let him know. And she was very surprised, when she heard Cal's response;
- I love you too, Gill, and that's what I wanted to tell you. His hand was still on hers, and they smiled to each other, happy. And Gill was crying, but it was not sadness, it was happiness.
