This was written for a friend, so most of you probably won't know what it's about, but I still wanted to post it for her.

"You said you'd be there."

Hinamori turned to see Hitsugaya standing behind her. She looked to the ground, refusing to meet his gaze. "I know."

"Today was important," Hitsugaya continued. "You said you'd be there"

"I know."

"Then why weren't you?" the small captain pressed. "Were you with someone else?" Hinamori's silence answered for her. "You were with Aizen, weren't you?" When she still didn't answer, Hitsugaya sighed and turned to walk away; he was stopped, however, when Hinamori reached out and grabbed his hand.

"Please wait, Shirou-chan," she squeaked, holding onto him with a trembling hand. "I know I hurt you, and I know you're right to be mad at me. But before you go, there's just one thing I have to say." She looked up and finally looked him in the eye.

"I'm sorry."
