Narrator: One day, in London, Basil, Olivia, Fidget, Dawson, Toby, Mrs. Judson, and Olivia's father entered a variety store and Basil found a violin to add to his collection.

Basil: Wow! I want this new violin! May I please have it?

Mrs. Judson: Mr. Basil, don't you already have a dozen violins at home?

Basil: But I want this one!

Hiram Flaversham: Olivia and I already bought you one not too long ago.

Olivia: Daddy's right.

Fidget: And this one costs more money!

Basil: WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! I want it! I want it! It's the best one I've ever seen!

Dawson: That's it! We're going home and that's final!

Basil: NO! NO! I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE THIS STORE!

Narrator: When Basil and his friends came home, Basil played one of his beloved violins.

Basil (Groaning): If only I can have that precious violin.

Olivia: But you still have us.

Dawson: And that's what's important.

Mrs. Judson: And don't you forget it.

(Basil stops playing his violin)

Basil: You're right. I should be happy for what I have. (Sets his violin down)

Fidget: We are worth more than that violin, anyway. (Hugs Basil)

Hiram Flaversham: Aww.

(Olivia also hugs Basil)
