Crowfeather's lungs were getting filled with ice cold water as he gasped for air, clawing at the water. Standing at the shore was his so-called-daughter Hollyleaf. Her green eyes were full of malice and she started to laugh at the struggling black tom and she shrieked "That's what you get for falling in love with another she-cat, you peice of fox dung!". Then she ran off, leaving him to his fate.
The black tom was about to scream for help when a voice whispered in his ear Calm down, Crowfeather. It's time for you to go. "I dont want to go!" he yowled, trying to stay above the surface. Crowfeather, listen to me. You're going to die and then you'll be with me. Crowfeather recognized the voice but before he could call out to her he was sinking into the dark abyss, down, down, down.....
"It's over now. You can open your eyes." He did. His surroundings was a moonlit clearing, with a river pulsing through it. The leaves whispered mysteriously as the wind brushed against them. The weather wasn't ice cold like the weather in the life he had left behind, it didn't even feel like anything. It was nothingness. Looking up, he saw the lost love that had lost him so long ago. Feathertail.
"Oh Feathertail!" Crowfeather cried, jumped up to rub against her cheek affectionately. "I missed you so much." he purred. Feathertail smiled, and said softly "I have missed you too. It's been very lonely up here without you."
The two cats sat there, watching over their clanmates. Crowfeather watched as a night patrol discovers his lifeless body in the lake. Feathertail watched her clanmates sleep silently in their dens. It was peaceful up there, in the stars. There was no fear of death up there, because they were dead. Nothing could give them anymore pain, except....
"Oh no! Look!" Feathertrail cried, and Crowfeather saw. Leafpool was collecting some herbs, not noticed Hollyleaf creeping extremely close to her. "Leafpool! Look out!" Crowfeather called to her, trying to warn her. But it was too late; Hollyleaf pounced on Leafpool and gave her a sharp bite to the neck, killing her instantly. "No!" Feathertail gasped, breathless. A few seconds later, a she-cat formed right next to Crowfeather. It was Leafpool. "Leafpool! Are you alright?" he asked, worry in his eyes. "I'm fine. But wait...you're dead?!?!" Leafpool gasped, her eyes wide. Crowfeather nodded "But I'm glad we're all up here together. No clan can seperate us anymore,"
Leafpool nodded "Come on. Let's go visit some cats that we had lost many moons ago. I want to meet Spottedleaf!". But the looks her friends gave her told her what their answer was "Alright. I'll leave you two alone. I guess I will see you later." Then she ran off, her paws glittering with frost.
Crowfeather and Feathertail stood together, tails twined, and watched the dawn approuch the Clans. They would be together forever more.
