Tower

Sucking on life necessity

Like a hurricane

Timer at exactly one

It was time to change

Climbing

With a Sword and Fire

Set in his heart

Yet as he climbed

He felt the cloaked dagger

Stabbing him in his heart

He does not understand why

Fear gripped him as he kept going up

The Griffins flocked around

Watching him hungrily

Ready to end his journey

In a heartbeat

In an unguarded moment

The demon strikes

Like a hawk

Preying on his trusted Comrade

Thus

With the Sword he striked

Saving his friend

This left his friend

Hurt

Not mortally injured or bleeding out

Everything relies on you now

Move boy

Up he went the rickety ladder

Falling Apart

Like the Young man's heart

As he went up the tower

He could hear them

Faint whispers

Lost in the wind

Asking Why has he come here

He planned to bring death

He planned to remove the source of the pain

Yet despite it all

He caused his own pain

It was not them

No.

It was his own two hands

How much blood has been spilled

Just from these two hands

Nonetheless

He preserved through the whispers

That sent needles into his heart as he heard them

He did not understand why

He almost reached the top

He was by himself

Not able to be influenced by others

Unlike his entire journey here

Afterall,

Every single person has their perspectives

Of what is right

And of what is wrong

Yet,

When it comes down to it

It may not appear you are doing wrong

Even if you are doing it out of love

Be it

Your fellow man

The love of your life

Your Family

Right and wrong

For humanity

For Her

I would repeat my regrets

Repeat my heartache

Even if I must

Over a thousand times

From now to infinity

He placed down the designator

With a sharp inhale

They were prodding

His heart

His desires

His motivations

Without any hint of remorse

In what could have been ten minutes

His mind had been boggled

The first now becomes the last

If we are to survive in this world

Than we must eliminate anything hostile

He could hear their screams as the revolver

Penetrate their glossy dark skin

He was wrong.

He was not in the right.

Guilt.

Heavy like an anvil

As he got up

With mute horror

He watch the wind he sowed

He reaped the storm in his heart

Unable to take anything back

Burned.

They burned.

Just like his heart.

Regret filled his heart.

At that moment though

He felt like a victor

But at what cost

What was the cost

He sat there for several minutes.

Watching with triumph

Only to morph into grief

He had one bullet left.

A bullet he felt using on himself.

Had he not truly succeeded.

He felt more lost than ever

He felt more alone in the world than ever

He lost so many friends for this

Something that brought him only pain

No tears

Nothing to be wiped away

Forever embalmed in his heart

He got up

Watching the burning Botanical Gardens

With heartache

He decided to make his way down the tower

His loneliness temporarily cured

By Congratulations

From his Comrade

Deep down

He will always carry this pain

Forever

Not even redemption holds the cure to it
