But lo and behold, he did leave behind his treasure...a sum of bells capable of paying off any villager's sizable debt! Now all of the cute and cuddly villagers have turned to piracy!

Gold Nook, the "King of the Villagers" had achieved it all. Wealth, fame and power had been all his. Not surprisingly, the final words he spoke before whatever government exists in the animal world shut his money schemes down inspired animals all throughout the seas to finally pay off the egregious amount of debt they owed the mighty raccoon.

"My treasure? Why, it's right where I left it…" Gold Nook said with a smirk as his business was about to be shut down. "It's yours if you can find it…but you'll have to search the entire world!"
