Notes: I once did a collection entitled "If Wishes Were Unicorn." I ended it when I got bored, but I've decided I wanted to restart it, especially since my writing has vastly improved since then.

So, if you have a prompt and pairing that you want to see written, let me know in a review, and I will write it. I'll write anything: het, slash, femslash, poly relationships, incest, etc.

I would appreciate a review on a story I wrote for you, though. It's only fair.

Laura (Sable Supernova) asked for Regulus/Barty with the prompt "beggar"

365 Days of Drabbles Challenge: Prompt Used - curious

Regulus never thought himself to be a beggar. He was a pure-blood, from the ancient and noble house Black. He didn't have to beg for anything. If he wanted something, he got it. It was a fact of life. It was on a par with the Earth being round and muggles being useless.

So, why did he feel like begging when Barty looked at him with curious eyes, silently asking what Regulus wanted? Why did he feel like begging Barty to be his date to Hogsmeade?

Barty should be grateful Regulus deemed him important enough to socialize with. Instead, Regulus yearned for a scrap of Barty's time, a promise that Barty was as interested in him as Regulus was in Barty.

And when Barty blushed as he offered Regulus tutoring in Transfiguration, Regulus' hardest subject – Regulus felt hope swell in his heart. When Barty's hand lingered just a bit longer than absolutely necessary when he was passing a quill to Regulus, that hope turned into certainty.

Regulus might feel like a beggar, something that was beneath a wizard of his social standing, but at least he knew Barty felt the same way.
