I own nothing.
'The little star'. That's how he refers to her in his own mind. She was named after a star after all, and she always seems so bright and warm, even when she's beat up and bleeding, even when her eye's nearly swollen shut.
My oh my, such a vibrant girl. My oh my, so sweet and pretty and delicate.
And so, so threatening too. A threat to his very existence. That's why the unnamed animalistic spirit within Kurosaki Ichigo, his inner Hollow as he's come to be known, always shies away and goes quiet when Inoue Orihime comes within Ichigo's line of sight.
He hates to admit it, but the closest he's ever come to being afraid of someone is of Inoue Orihime. The girl reeks of alien power, so potent it's practically a visible aura around her. Gentle gold, he thinks it would be, if it wasn't so powerful.
This girl… This insignificant little human infant, she could make him go away if she wanted to. She could make everything go away with a thought. All of existence wiped out in the blink of an eye. All that power, within a little human girl. Anyone with sense ought to be terrified of her, of making her angry, and an animal spirit knows full well that something as powerful as the little star ought to be feared.
The little red star is feared and hated. What she could do to him could leave him worse than dead. What she could do to him would make it to where he would have never existed. The extinction of the mind.
She's dangerous.
But…
But he is a Hollow. And Hollows like dangerous.
So as much as the little star is terrifying, she's a bit fascinating too, because no one would think that such a shy, meek, sweet human girl could be as dangerous as her.
