The First Story
I feel like I'm detached. Its all happening, down there on the ground, and I'm floating away…
There is a commotion down there that I can't properly see. Someone has collapsed, but everyone has crowded around them, I can't see who it is.
And the, from behind, someone puts their hands over my eyes.
"Guess who!" She says, in a voice I know so well.
"Valkyrie?"
She laughs, so happy and full of life – like she never was on earth. How could she be more alive in Death? "Yep, got it in one!"
She turns me around – I don't know how, we are just floating – and kisses me delicately. I wish I could have stayed there forever, but no.
"Tanith, I love you, but you have to go. You have to go back. You can't come until you've found peace. Because you're not going to find it here. Not yet." She said. Not yet? What?
"Please, Val, please let me stay with you. I love you. Please."
"You think I don't know that? After all the years we spent together? I know. And I love you to. I've said it before. And you know it. So go to earth, find peace, die of old age, and come back. Please live a happy life."
She kissed me, one last time, and when I opened my eyes, she wasn't there. And I was falling, back to earth. And I screamed, screamed at her, for her, but it did not good. And then I opened my eyes, my real eyes, and everyone was crowding around me, looking, crowding me.
I thought back to what se said.
And then, I got on, found peace, lived a happy life, died in battle (well, she can't het everything she wants, can she?) and found her again.
But that's another story.
How was it? I'm considering oing another one, but probably not.
