So, I earlier was watching Gilmore Girls, and it was the episode about Jess' first day in town. I know that it is extremely unlikely for Rory and Jess to ever end up together, but I wanted to write a little drabble about them anyway. Based off of Paul Tiernan's, "How to Say Goodbye," which I highly recommend you listen to as ya read. Enjoy.

... ... ...

Lorelai knew about the Dean box. She knew where Rory kept her countless little gifts from Logan. What Rory had never shown her was the Jess box.

In fact, no one knew about the Jess box aside from Rory.

He had always loved to say goodbye. Rory knew that he was probably just afraid of love, of what would happen if he truly opened up to her.

But she had been afraid too.

So she couldn't blame him really, for running away.

They were too young. Too scared of themselves and each other.

And even when they were older, he was in Philly. She had Logan.

Now there was no Logan. But still no Jess.

And there probably wouldn't ever be more than a long distance between the two. After all, they loved to say goodbye too much.

But usually, there was a, "Hello again," to closely follow.

... ... ...

I had to write this to cure my bout of writer's block. Hope you enjoyed. :D Review if you like.
