She's A Challenge
PROLOGUE
"As your father, I know that I've lacked, more than too much, the presence in your life. I've failed as a father, and yet you still tolerate me..."
"Dad... Don't say that" A boy said, stiffly, if I may add.
The boy's father was talking to him seriously; they were alone in the hospital room, other visitors had gone out to give the two privacy.
"I'm so sorry, son" the man lying on the bed said. He was clearly feeling bad and broken. A lot of wires were connected to him, and bruises and bandages were seen on his arms and face; there was also a cast on his leg and a face mask releasing oxygen covered his nose and mouth.
His son did not speak, only the sound of the heart monitor and the patient's breathing were heard. The silence was awkward, so the father spoke again.
"You know, that, as your father, I've never asked anything of you before, but, now, as your dying father, I hope you can accept my last wish" the boy couldn't speak, so the man continued, "Please, son..."
"Okay, dad, tell me what it is" The 'patient' smiled at this.
