*From Edward's POV*

Twas the Twilight Before Christmas

Twas the Twilight before Christmas when all through the town
Alice Cullen was listening to hear a sound
Renesmee's stocking was hung by the chimney with care
In hopes that a puppy would be placed there

Renesmee was nestled all snug in her bed
While visions of her first Christmas danced in her head
And I in my Jersey, and Bella in her cap
Had just readied ourselves for a thunderous crack

When out in the woods there arose such a clatter
I sprang quickly forward to see what was the matter
Away through the forest I flew like a flash
Then ran back to Bella and tried not to be rash

The moon on the field of the new fallen snow
Gave a sparkling glitter to all us below
When what to my honey-gold eyes should appear
But the Volturi all dressed in baseball gear

With Aro in the lead so friendly and quick
I knew in a moment it wasn't a trick
More rapid than cheetahs his followers they came
When he stopped them and shouted "May we join the game?"

"Come Aro and Cauis and Marcus and Chelsea!
Jane and Alec and Renata and Demetri!
Join my team or Carlisle's, whatever you choose!
But be first far warned that I never lose!"

"Play ball!" Esme shouted with glee
And I knew in a moment what a game this would be
The field it was icy, but of no concern
But Cullen from Volturi, it was hard to discern

The first six innings went by without fail
And then in the seventh, it started to hail
Then in a flash it was my turn to bat
I looked 'round the field, now how about that?

The bases were loaded with one out to go
And I looked up at Alice, who was covered in snow
My team, they were watching, to see how I'd fair
And you could feel all the tension rising in the air

Her eyes they then twinkled, looking quite merry
And her face gave a look that could be called scary
Her small little mouth was set in a line
And the snow on her hair was glistening and devine

And then as I watched she gritted her teeth
Wound up for the pitch, then I couldn't breath
She threw it at me, and "Strike one!" Esme chimed
And I stared at Alice, reading her mind

She was ready to pitch, and keep me at bay
But it wouldn't be easy, no not today
But a wink of her eye and a twist of her head
Made my teammates and I shudder with dread

She spoke not a word, then the sky gave a flash
And I felt from my hands come a tremendous crash
"Run home! Run home!" All my teamates exclaimed
And then there I was, and we'd won the game!

Then they all sprang away, as Aro gave a call
And away they all ran, away from us all
But I heard Aro shout as he ran 'round the bend
"Merry Christmas to all, and peace with you my friends!"
