This is my response to another prompt on CBS' Message Boards. This one involved taking a shooting that happened on the show and writing it in one of the character's perspective. I chose the Fisher King, something that was a bit different for me, but a lot of fun. *DISCLAIMER* This is unbeta'd and I do not own Criminal Minds. Hope you enjoy it and feel free to review.

This team was supposed to have some of the brightest minds in the nation. Aaron Hotchner, Derek Morgan, Elle Greenaway, Dr. Spencer Reid, Jennifer Jareau, Penelope Garcia, and the legendary Jason Gideon. I studied them, followed them, knew their every move, and I knew from the beginning that they were the perfect adventurers for my quest. They had done so well, too, until now...

I told Agent Hotchner that there were rules to the quest. They were very easy to comprehend, they were simple enough for a child to understand. The quest must be completed by Agent Hotchner and his team only, people outside the team were not allowed to participate. Yet he sent Agent Jareau to hold a press conference. You would think that someone brilliant enough to become a profiler would be able to follow basic instructions. Unfortunately he broke the rules, and when someone breaks the rules there must be consequences.

I told Rebecca that I must leave for a while, I hope that she isn't disappointed. I thought of what the consequences should be. I thought about conclude the quest, but I wanted them to succeed and take the grail. I thought about killing Agent Jareau, but it technically wasn't her fault. So I looked for convenience instead. Then the opportunity presented itself right before my eyes.

I'm standing in the household of Agent Greenaway, gun in my right hand down at my side. The agent escorting her is more foolish than Agent Hotchner, he leaves without canvassing the house at all. Agent Greenaway is drowsy, she lies down on her sofa and begins to drift off. I walk silently into the room and point my gun at her, preparing to kill her. It is a shame that she must die, but Agent Hotchner and the rest of his team must understand the importance of following the rules. She awakens, something that I was hoping wouldn't happen. No matter, I have control and a clear advantage. I try to explain to her, but she reaches for her gun. I fire, but I don't leave. I have plenty of time to hammer my point home to Agent Hotchner. I reach into the wound and begin writing the word "Rules" on her wall in all capital letters. The process is long, the blood dries rather quickly and doesn't spread well on the wall. I finish the messy deed, then leave Agent Greenaway on the floor to die.
