Disclaimer: I don't own the show (Reba) or Cheyenne or Elizabeth. Orginally the story I had in mind was way different. I may write that story at another time... or I might not. Anyway enjoy

"Mommy," Elizabeth asked, "are you gonna get mad?"

Cheyenne shook her head

"No sweetie. Mommy didn't mean to yell at you. I was just really worried when you went into the street because I love you and don't want anything bad to happen to you"

"What would happen to me?'

Cheyenne pulled one of Elizabeth's dolls out of the closet.

"Come with me," Cheyenne said, "I'll show you what could happen"

Elizabeth followed her mother outside to the driveway.

"Let's pretend that this doll is you," Cheyenne said, "and the driveway is the street"

"Shouldn't the street have lines on it? Those yellow lines?"

Cheyenne sighed to herself but drew the lines with chalk.

"Now I'm going to be a random car," Cheyenne said, "sit here and don't move okay honey"

"Okay"

Cheyenne laid the doll on the floor and got into her car. She started up the car and drove over the doll. Then she pulled back up and got out of the car.

"See what happened to the doll"

"It's all broken up"

"You're right. What do you think would happen to you a car hit you"

"I'd be all broken up"

"Exactly so I want you to promise you won't do that again okay"

"Okay mommy I promise"

"That's my girl," Cheyenne said and hugged her, "now how about some strawberry ice cream"
