James Earl Jones - "One of the hardest things in life is having words in your heart that you can't utter."

She knew from the first moment she let her eyes meet his; those ever swirling pools of blue, that she could never turn her back to walk away and pretend she didnt notice. She would remember for the rest of time all the emotions: betrayal, confusion, anger, lonliness; just so much raw emotional pain she would also wonder how he stayed put together like he did. He seemed as if he would rip from the seams with all the built up emotions kept inside of those eyes of his.

-

She knew from the second moment she looked into those same eyes again, she would fall even deeper. She could smile and laugh in front of him and the others while fawning over that pretty-boy with the deep dark eyes, but when she was alone in her room at night she hurt and cried. Because she could see everything in those pools of blue sky that can turn red and slitted at anytime under pressure or just angered enough. She would scold and yell in public, but alone she cooed and praised. She could take to anyone about how much she didnt want to be with him; about his clumsy nature and annoying attitude, but inside her heart she couldnt find anything but sadness and an ever growing admiration for the blonde kitsune holder. She would start to wonder then if he could see the message in her own eyes and perhaps thats why he never thought badly for her game of pretend. She already knew the dark eyed one did and also knew thats why he played pretend with her. He made a promise to help the blue eyed one where she could not and they both agreed on silence and secrecy.

-

She knew from the moment she looked for the third time; there was no rope or latter long or tall enough to pull her out. She no longer scolded or yelled so much. She no longer talked about his faults without pointing out the good ones first. She smiled at him. She laughed with him. She had to fill the void the dark eyed one left behind when he went to make his life dream a reality. She made sure the game of pretend was with fewer rules and more chances to pass without complaint. She questioned to herself if he knew the others had started playing their own games of pretend as well.

-

When it came down to his last moments she made sure to catch one more glimpse of those big blue eyes again. She knew the moment she did she was lost forever. She no longer had to worry that he didnt see what she wanted so desperately to tell him from the first time she saw those eyes. She made sure to smile and cry for him one more time after his last words to her.

"Thanks for playing pretend with me Sakura-chan. And i love you too."

Eh, not really how i wanted it to turn out but it was just an idea i got from the quote. Since my plot bunny and muse dont seem to want to return anytime soon i thought to just get some ideas from quotes, and what do you know it worked. I recommend it for writers block syndrom lol.

The first look is suppose to be when they are young, say like 5 or 6. The second look is when they are in a team with Sasuke and Kakashi, the third is after Sasuke left and Naruto returned from his training with Jiraiya. The last is obviously his death.

Please be sure to review! thx,
