Hey I know it's been a while since I've updated anything but I've been really busy with my summer job and getting ready for college. But I was rearranging my room the other day and found an old notebook of mine; I sifted through it and I found this tiny three paragraph story that I had written out of boredom one day and I really liked the simplicity of it. So I sat down and rewrote it and decided to post it.
Now I totally support James/Lily, but every time I think about what I read about in the 7th book about Severus and Lily I always tear up; and I must say, that even from the very first book, I knew that Severus Snape was good!
So here's my simple SHORT oneshot (which normally gives me great difficulty to write!)
Severus Snape took a deep breath before pushing the small iron gate open. The snow crunched as he walked briskly through the village of stone. Finally the Potions Master slowed to a stop in front of a small marble slab. On it, in elegant font said:
Here Lies Lily Potter
A Beautiful Mother and Wife, a Strong and Loyal Friend
May She Forever Be Remembered in Our Hearts
Severus knelt to carefully brush away the snow from the stone. Opening his mouth, he found that he could muster up no words. Sighing he cleared a spot and gingerly sat on the frozen ground.
His spidery fingers traced the lettering for a while before he let his hand drop into his lap. For almost an hour he sat there in silence, forgetting the biting cold that was engulfing his body.
Finally he kissed his fingertips and placed them on her name before standing and brushing off the bits of snow that clung to his robes.
"Spring's coming." He murmured and glanced at the second headstone that stood beside Lily's. He bowed his head slightly before turning sharply on his heal and stalking out of the graveyard.
Well, it's simple and I thought it would be nice to get other people's opinion.
