Lately I have been thinking...Who Tobi from Naruto Shippuden really is…Because there are many people saying he cannot be Madara Uchiha…Well I will go through some facts which show that he is Madara or another person…Here We go!
The knowledge of the Konoha history; Tobi sure knows a lot about the beginning of Konoha, the attack of the Nine-Tails (though he denies any involvement in that), the Uchiha Massacre cover-up, this means that Tobi or Madara has to be really, really old and judging from his movements he might be Kakashi's age. From what I read the Infinite Mangekyou Sharingan keeps you Immortal. This would make sense and Tobi is really Madara…
But here comes something that might change your mind…If Tobi is really Madara why is he so let's say 'weak'? Madara and his brother were hailed the strongest of the Uchiha clan; he held up his own against Hashirama the first Hokage and control the Nine-Tails. From Tobi I have seen little apart from his team work with Deidara and the Teleportation Jutsu. He even admits he just a mere shell of his former self…But how did this happen? Sure he wasn't sitting on his ass for the entire 'Naruto' series…
Now to some speculating: Is Tobi Madara? Well he knows detailed events of his past, has the Sharingan qualifying him to be an Uchiha (though that old fart Danzo had seven of them), possesses some of Hashirama's DNA which only someone who fought him could get hold of and lastly he shares Madara's hate towards Konoha and Hashirama.
Is Tobi Obito? Well Obito was killed ages ago and would now have to be Kakashi's age on top he would only possess one eye…this leaves room for speculating that this way he was able to plant Pain's Rinnengan into his other eye…But how did Obito give Pain the Rinnengan as Tobi stated in his battle with Konan. I think what draws a lot of attention to this Obito and Tobi issues is that their names are practically the same only the letters have been rearranged. My personal opinion is that the author is just trying to mess with our head at this point, think of it logically, why would Obito hate Konoha? He loved the village and his friends…There is no reason for him to start a war in the first place…Last point if Tobi was really Obito don't you think Kakashi would have noticed this by now either from his manner of speech or his movements…
Is Tobi Izuna Uchiha? To clear up, Izuna is Madara's little brother. He was said to have died in battle but we know how credible that is. Izuna has a reason to hate Konoha and Hashirama; Hashirama appeared to have killed his brother in the Valley of the End. But if it is true that Madara took Izuna's eyes the latter would be blind right now unless he took Madara's eyes and acquired the Eternal Mangekyou…On the other side Izuna seemed to be kind-hearted and friendly. Yet he was devoted to the Uchiha clan and did everything in his power to protect them. He lacks the sneakiness and wickedness of Madara in my own opinion. But probably because there is very little known about him.
Is Tobi Obito's father? I read this one a while ago and I do not see how this could be possible. The reason the writer had put down was that Obito's father might have blamed Konoha for the death of his son. But then again Obito's father was likely killed in the Uchiha Massacre by Itachi and 'The Real Madara'. I just doubt that Obito's father would want revenge on the village for his son; I mean it was a mission they were sent on and that is their job as a ninja.
Personally I got no clue who Tobi is, maybe he is just sort of a puppet replacing his arms here and there. A puppet working to revive the real Madara Uchiha, but I have faith that the author is not going to let us down and reveal who he is and where Madara's whereabouts are…
