Something Blue

Hades was having a bad day. And not a good bad like the lowly mortal villains living above him liked to talk about. First his lights wouldn't work and he'd had to leave his cavern to fix them. Then he'd discovered that he'd run out of ambrosia and would have to subsist on mortal food scraps that he wouldn't feed to the dead in the Fields of Punishment until Zeus remembered that he existed and Hera and Hestia convinced him to send another shipment of the food of the gods to the Isle. He was already weak with the little ambrosia he'd been rationing out. By the time his sisters got their brother to stop being pig-headed for five minutes he'd be as powerless as a common human. He wasn't human!

"I am a god!" Hades knocked a broken table onto the floor and blue flames erupted on his head and shoulders. He breathed in and out harshly through gritted teeth. He was Hades, the god of the dead, the king of the Underworld. He didn't belong here with these petty, useless mortals!

The faint feeling of a mortal soul coming towards him shook him out of his seething rage. The flames on his body died down. He sighed and rolled his shoulders. There was only one mortal who was brave or stupid enough to come into his domain in the bedrock of the Isle.

He waited until he heard footsteps behind him before turning around. "Oh, you shouldn't have come here."

"Hi, Daddy." Uma's lips curled into a wicked smile. "We need to talk."

A/n: And that's my prediction for Descendants 3 based on the "Is It Hades?" trailer. Done.
