"That's it Kakarot! Im tired of living in your shadow! I will defeat you!" Vegeta yells finger pointing menacingly at Goku.
"I'd like to see you try. This will be fun!" Goku replies taking a fighting stance with a smile.
The battle ensues as they morph into each Saiyan transformation one after another and even into ultra instinct and its equivalent. They seem to be evenly matched and both wear their battle wounds until finally Goku knocks Vegeta out of the sky and he hits the ground with a loud boom. He can barely move.
"I can not loose. I am the Saiyan Prince! I must win even if it's this one time..." That's when Vegeta pushes himself away from the ground and rises up with a vengeance.
His eyes burn red and a new transformation emerges. Sharp triangular horns make way through Vegeta's jet black hair. A black cloud surrounds him and smoke etches from his mouth. His voice sounds deeper like he's possessed by a demon.
"I will defeat you," He says.
Goku attacks and every move is blocked with grace. Vegeta laughs heartily. Then you hear a cracking sound. It's Goku's legs. The attack wasn't visible but it leaves Goku with broken limbs. Goku falls out of the sky and lands with a smirk and a blackened face on the ground.
"Alright you win Vegeta." Goku says knowing he can not fight without the use of his legs, and knowing that this is not a battle to die for. "How can I match that power?" He asks.
Vegeta is beside himself with pride and glee. Thick tears run down his face and he has returned to his normal state.
"I did it. I finally did it." He says fists clenched and looking to the sky.
Then he looks down at Goku and realizes what he has done. Goku has lost a lot of blood. He is melancholy for a moment but then he smirks. He knows he can undo the damage in the healing machine Bulma has made. Having to save Goku from the damage he himself inflicted is the cherry on top of the cake.
"Here let me help you." He smirks again and flies Goku to the healing machine.
"What happened Vegeta!" Bulma yells from the yard.
"I finally did it. I finally beat Kakarot."Vegeta says with pride.
"Haha you what?" Bulma asks in disbelief.
"He did he beat me Bulma fair and square. Hey, could you uh fix me?" Goku says and then laughs nervously.
Vegeta lays Goku in the machine. Then turns to Bulma.
"That's right woman I beat him, and now-" Vegeta gets cut off.
"Now you are ready to become a destroyer." Whis chimes in.
"What are you talking about?" Vegeta scoffs.
"You said if I trained you that you would become a destroyer, and honestly Beerus has grown so soft the shift of life and death is uneven." Whis says.
"So, he's going with you to sleep for thousands of years at a time? I think not he's got a family here you know, and a new baby girl to look after. So if you think for one second..." Bulma goes off.
"Yes, well there is that isn't there? How about this he works for me but comes home here at night to you, say, until you die??? That's a short enough period to work with..."
"Fine." Bulma says not entirely all the way satisfied.
"Huh, and what would I be doing anyway; destroying planets, killing beings I don't happen to like??? Ha." Vegeta scoffs.
"Exactly." Whis proclaims.
