Heaven and Hell
Courtney faked a smile, letting her fiancée sit down on the sofa beside her. He looked beat. His mohawk was askew and his icy blue eyes had bags growing under them. But it had been his choice to take the night shift at the 7/11 he worked part time at.
The other part of Duncan's time he was in college, studying to become a tattoo artist. It was what he wanted to do in his life. Courtney found it gross and disgusting.
She herself was working part time as a waitress to help keep up the bills on their apartment. The other half of her time was spent at college, also, only she was studying law. She was going to be a very successful lawyer one day.
But that was just one of the many difference between the odd couple...
Duncan a complete and utter punk. He had a neon-green 'hawk on top of his head and the most beautiful eye color in the world. His clothes always consisted of something black with skulls all over it. Duncan's face was covered from top to bottom in multiple piercings. Courtney, on the other hand, didn't even have as much as her ears pierced.
Courtney was a complete and utter prep. Her hair was naturally dark brown, with hints of caramel. She always kept it neat and tidy, intact to perfection. Her clothes always consisted of white button up shirts and black pencil skirts or suits.
The two were complete opposites. They had nothing in common at all. But they loved each other, and that was what was important to them.
Duncan and Courtney had different opinions on everything they did! Courtney liked one thing, Duncan liked another. The two were constantly squabbling and arguing over the pettiest things imaginable.
Duncan believed he was right, Courtney believed she was right. In the end, it was usually Courtney who was right (even if it was just because Duncan was quite scared of Courtney at times).
But, despite all the arguing they got into it, they still loved each other. They had since the day they met, even if back then they denied it. Slowly, over time, the two had learnt to accept their feelings for the other and give their relationship a try. It had worked. For the most part, anyway.
Courtney and Duncan were like chalk and cheese. PB and J. Hot and cold. On and off. Up and down. Courtney and Duncan were as different as Heaven and Hell. But, no matter how many differences they may have had, they loved each other, and that was the main point.
A/N: Yes...I am aware of how much this sucks...I'm bored, tired and really wanted to write something...This is what I got :)
I think it's pretty good considering I've had writers block on oneshots for the past two days, too...LOL!
I do hope you liked it :)
It is true though! Courtney and Duncan are as different as Heaven and Hell...
