Dedication: to all of you who have had your hearts broken, or know the agony of unrequited love, of being a lost soul…drifting on a sea of sadness…-trails off lost in her own little world, reminiscing-

The Love Unspoken

The lock unopened,

The bridge not crossed,

My words unspoken,

Or the love I lost.

My heart lies broken,

I knew not the cost,

Of love unspoken.

If I never met him,

How would things be?

Better, no, not knowing him

Is something I refuse to see.

The pain in my soul may crush my fragile heart,

But never knowing, wondering,

What if we hadn't grown apart?

But forgetting,

Is impossible on my part…

Even if it was all a lie,

Every moment was worth it.

My love may be forgotten,

But I shall hold my head high,

You won't break me, never see me cry…

But every glimpse of you,

Makes me die inside.

Why put myself through this though?

Because I want to be by your side,

Always there, I can't stay away from you,

Any more than the shore from the tide.

To love from afar,

Will have to do.

Because,

I still love you…

A/N: This is just something I wrote when I was feeling down and I thought it fit the Inu/Kag drama. I wrote the first verse a few years ago and finally finished it. (I know some of the lines don't rhyme, ; just consider it prose) please no flames! –puppy dog pouts-
