Emptiness

Harry's heart just has no more room to break. There is a death.

Harry didn't feel anything as he looked at the body; he'd seen so many friends and enemies laid to waste by the war that it didn't really effect him now. Not nearly as much as it should. He lifted a hand and tried to run it through the fiery red hair, but found he couldn't. it was so matted with blood and sweat and just messed up from where she'd fell, he couldn't easily run his fingers through it.

That bothered him. A lot more than the metal spike forced cruelly through her chest, more that the wooden stake forced up her womanhood and the word "WHORE" sliced damningly into her abdomen. He forced his fingers through the hair, accidentally pulling strands from the head. He'd done this action countless times before, softly and lovingly, not roughly, like he was trying to derive a sense of normalcy from it.

Brown eyes - clouded from unshed tears and the grey film of death - stared up into Harry's face, not seeing the grim set of his jaw or the tsunami of emotions even he couldn't decipher in his eyes. Her lips were still soft, a trickle of dried blood going down the corner of her mouth to halfway down her neck. Said neck had been mercilessly slashed open, but the wound was too neat to be with a knife. Someone must have shot a well-aimed Defindo at her.

Then, there were screams and sobs of horror as an army of gingers converged on their fallen sister. Her mother let out a feral sob, and Harry backed respectfully away to let her hug the unresponsive body. Her father joined his wife, openly sobbing while her brothers just let tears fall down their ashen cheeks.

Harry looked up, and saw the sickly green of the Dark Mark floating in the air. With eerie calm , he banished it with a wordless and wandless command.

Such a thing should not further taint the place where Ginny Weasley died.

I just felt a bit…inadequate, only having one story to my name. This was finished at one in the morning, and just popped into my macabre mind. Nothing against Ginny, BTW, apart from been a shameless yoai fan girl J. Please R&R
