Yancy blushed brightly as she waited for Nate to arrive. They had been communicating over the Xtranceiver for a while now and over that time the pink-haired idol had come feel more than friendship for the bushy-haired boy.
"I just hope I don't make a fool out of myself," muttered Yancy. "I don't want to scare Nate away after all this time."
She remembered talking about her fears with her Spinda and the Tiny Panda Pokémon reassured her that Nate wasn't the type to just leave his friends.
Her thoughts soon came to a stop when the voice of her favorite person called out to her.
"Hey! Yancy!"
Yancy looked up to see Nate making his way over. Once he was in front of her he was leaning on his knees, trying to regain his breath.
"Nate? Did you run all the way here?" asked Yancy, worried that the boy was going to collapse.
"Well…I didn't want…to be late, you know?" panted Nate with a slight laugh. "Didn't want to disappoint you."
A soft smile appeared on Yancy's face as she looked at the boy before her. "You could never disappoint me, Nate."
Nate let out another laugh. "Thanks, Yancy. Anyway, ready to tide the Ferris wheel?"
"Of course!"
"Then let's go!"
The two got in the car and waited for the ride to start. Once the massive wheel jerked to life, Yancy could feel herself become anxious. It seemed that Nate could feel something was up as well as he then wrapped his arm around her shoulders and held her close.
"N-Nate!" squeaked Yancy, her face becoming a bright red.
Her face then became redder when Nate leaned in closer and placed a quick kiss to her temple.
"It's okay, Yancy. I won't let anything ever happen to you."
As the ride kept going, Yancy snuggled closer towards the boy next to her. She was afraid that Nate wouldn't return her feelings, but those fears were lifted thanks to Nate's actions. Now she knew the feelings were mutual.
What started as conversations over the phone, turned into a loving relationship that would last for years to come.
And Yancy couldn't be happier.

For those who don't know, Yancy is a character that was introduced in Pokémon Black & White 2 and later gains feelings for Nate the more they interact.
Also, can I just say that I hate Nate's manga counterpart Lack-Two. He's just an outright dick to everyone, especially Yancy, just because he's apparently an international police officer and even a superior to Looker.
