{Kari's POV}

I could feel the rain pouring down. I look to my right and I could see Zack. I rolled over and noticed Cloud crawling towards him. We were both weak. We finally made it on either side of him.

"Z...zack." Cloud said when I said, "Brother?" He was beat up...almost dead. Blood covered his face and arms. The rain water mixed with the dirt and blood. It was a terrible sight. Zack grunted in pain and looked over at Cloud.

"...For the...both of us." He told Cloud.

"...both...of us?" Cloud repeated.

"That's right. You're gonna..."

"You're gonna..."

Zack reached up and pulled Cloud to his chest. "Live...you'll be...my living legacy." His arm slid down and splashes into the bloody mud...making some splash on my face.

Cloud slowly sat up...some of Zack's blood on his face and in his hair.

"..." Zack looked to his right arm...at his sword...and lifted it towards Cloud. "My honor...my dreams...their yours now." He said. Cloud slowly took the sword and Zack pushed it a bit more to him.

"Im...your living...legacy." Cloud confirmed. Zack smiled and nodded before turning towards me.

"Princess of Shinra...Kari...my sister...the strange one who was born with materia inside her...even if you weren't my blood sister...I am proud to call you my sister...you are strong...and beautiful...and loyal to the end. Thank you...you support Cloud...the same way you supported me ok?"

"...yes..." I nodded and tears fell. He reached up with a bloody hand, wiping them away...leaving a streak of blood on my cheek.

He looked back at Cloud. "You love her...so take care of her..." He said and Cloud nodded.

Zack smiled and closed his eyes...he was gone.

Cloud gasped as did I...and we both screamed and cried at once...looking at the sky...remembering the past.

~"Yo! Don't fall too far behind!" Zack called to the others. He turned to the rookie next to us. "At leas someone's keeping up." He joked.

"Well, I'm a country boy too." The rookie responded.

"From where?" Zack and I spoke together.

"...Nebilheim." He told us. Zack and I started laughing. "How about you?"

"Us? Gongaga!" Zack told him. He chuckled a bit.

"Hey What's so funny about that? You know Gongaga?" I said.

"No...but it's such a backwater name." He replied.

"Ditto Nebilheim." Zack said.

"Like you've been there."

"We haven't. But there is a reactor there..." Zack said.

"And a mako reactor outside Midgar usually means..." I continued.

"Nothing else out there. oh?" All three of us spoke and laughed.

"Good new Tseng me and..." The rookie took off his helmet. I blushed. He was cute!

"Cloud."

" Me and Cloud here are both backwater experts. OH YEAH!"

I giggled at him.~

Cloud and I both looked back at Zack's body.

"Embrace your dreams." We remembered him saying often. "If you wanna be a hero...you need to have dreams."

"Thank you..." Cloud spoke.

"We won't forget." I told him.

We both stood. Cloud looked up at me with the most beautiful yet sad eyes. "..." He closed his eyes and turned his head. He looked at Zack. "Goodnight."

"...Fly High brohter..." I said and walked to Cloud. We walked away together.
