Author's Note: Since I always believed that Kimi would someday get a tattoo, well, here you go! Oneshot, by the way. In this story, she is dating Phil. From Kimi's POV.
Kimi's First Tattoo
Chapter One
I've been twenty-one for two days, and now, here I am, at the tattoo parlor, waiting to get the one thing that I have wanted ever since I was twelve; a tattoo. Where did my interest from tattoos spark? My ex-boyfriend, Z (we broke up because he was arrested on accident, and, to be truthful, he was getting a little too rough for me, and I always had this bad feeling that he would… well, rape me). Z was always talking about tattoos, and, according to Savannah, the best gossiper in high school (aside from the biggest slut… what? Just a side note!), he managed to get one at fifteen.
Even if I am now dating Phil, I did always think that tattoos were cool. My brother, Chuckie, highly disapproves of them and never wants his child (whom Angelica is currently pregnant with), to get a tattoo. Although with me being his/her aunt, I really do not know about that. This chair is somewhat comfortable. Ah, I think I could get used to this.
Finally, the tattoo parlor walks in. She is certainly a lot older than I am; I would say she is about forty-two, and she seems to have quite the experience with tattoos her. One on her face, another on the top of her right breast (interesting idea, I think I should copy), one on her back (she is wearing a low tee), and a piercing on her lip. Surprisingly, her ears are not pierced. I suppose she was a huge tomboy when she still went to school. This seems to be her summer job. "Age?" She asks me in a raspy, old woman, voice. Her blackish-green hair dips down throughout her shoulders. I gulp. Something about her is scary and suspicious. "Twenty-one, just turned twenty-one a few days ago," I told her. She smiled. "Can finally drink, toots, eh?" she asked. I chuckled and nodded.
"So, what tattoo do ya want?" She asked. "One of a unicorn," I said with a smile. "It would certainly please my brother." She laughed. "Over protective brother?" She asked. Gee, it is as if she can just read me by the look of my face! I nodded. Once I felt the ink pen (if that is what you call it), touch my skin…
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
"Jesus Christ, calm down, sweetie, it just touched yer skin," she reminded me. "You sure you don't have anxiety?" I nodded, tears forming in my eyes. "Come on, Kimi, you know this is what you want," I thought. I held my breath and said, "Do it again… continue." As she continued, it took me so much courage not to scream. When she was finished, I opened my eyes and glanced up at her. "Are you done?" I nervously asked. "Because I'm not sure if I can hold the scream in for much longer." Once again, she laughed and nodded as I got up, breathing a sigh of relief.
"Anyway, please do not scream in her, the doctor told me that I cannot deal with high pitched screams anymore," she joked. I nodded, went outside, and screamed, surprising everyone on the block.
"Oh my god that huuurt!"
