After Eggman yelled out his orders at the badniks, they approached team Sonic for counter attack. Six of them in the atmosphere were flying beetle badniks while the rest of them were scorpion badniks.
Sticks slid under the nearest approaching one, getting behind it and smashed it to bits with her boomerang, Amy smashed up three with her piko piko hammer, Knuckles smashed up two with his huge fists, Tails electrify six with his new enerbeam weapon invention and Sonic homeing attacked the remaining eight to pieces, leaving the flying beetle badniks that Knuckles is attending to smash up with a big log he just picked up while Sonic smashed the last of the scorpion badniks.
Knuckles swung the log at the nearest flying beetle badnik, but it saw the attack coming and activated it's deflector child before the log stuck at it, deflecting the log back. Sonic witnessed the event and super sped to Knuckles aid while the flying lady bug badnik flew down to the ground facing knuckles. Sonic jumped and spin dashed the badnik from underneath while halfway to the ground, defeating it.
Then Sonic landed on the ground with his left leg bent with left foot firmly on the ground and right leg also bent but with the right leg on the ground, lifted his head up and averted his eyes toward Knuckles still holding the log as Knuckles looked back at Sonic.
"I have an idea Knuckles. You do what you did before on the rest, I'll get them from underneath as I did with he first one okay."
"What?" Knuckles, having below average intelligence widened his eyes at Sonic from not getting the idea on what Sonic is on about.
Sonic lowered down his eyebrows at Knuckles in slight irritation.
"What I'm saying is I'll attack them from underneath. I just need you to distract them." Sonic pointed out to Knuckles clearly.
"Ehh.. sure Sonic." Knuckles responded to Sonic dim wittily, now having a clue on Sonic's idea but not getting the point on how Sonic's idea would work.
Sonic realised his eyebrows from his frowning as he brushes off his irritation, gets back on his feet and he and Knuckles got their focus back on the flying lady bug badniks only to find their friends trying in vain to attack them due to the new badnik's defleater shields.
"On second thought Knuckles, scratch it" Sonic told Knuckles while keeping his focus on the badniks."
"Right." Knuckles responded while also keeping is focus on the badniks."
Sonic and Knuckles both charged at the flying beetle badniks as they're distracted by Tails, Amy and Sticks who tried to attack them. The flying beetle badniks flew to the ground and were about to attack their opponents when Knuckles smashed up the nearest one with the log and Sonic rolled into a ball and homeing attacked the rest to bits.
After team Sonic is finished dealing with the badniks, they drew their attention back on Eggman, all of them giving him death glares.
"Umm... I think I left the oven on." Eggman stated to the heroes, trying to excuse himself from battle, knowing that he'll be losing to them as usual, especially from Sonic.
But Sonic isn't buying it. Just as Eggmann was turning his egg mobile to retreat from battle, Sonic super sped towards Eggman, jumped, spun to a ball and knocked the egg mobile out of sight along with Eggman.
