Chapter One:
Elena hated goodbyes. She always thought of them as an ending to a relationship, whether it was friends, family or love, she hated them. Luckily she didn't have to say goodbye this time.
Rosewood, the town she live in as a child. She had moved from here after Alison's death. 'A' was torturing all the girls, even her. When Garret was put in jail, her parents decided it was time for a fresh start somewhere new. That was when they had moved to Mystic Falls, a year and a half they had been there. Bonnie, Caroline and herself had become great friends after the first six months. It wasn't until another couple of months after that, that she had met the Salvator's and well… we know the story from there. Jo and Alaric had just gotten married, they were away on their honey moon and having the time of their life. Sheriff Forbes was working in her office, day after day doing what she loves; solving crime cases to find justice. Things were working out greatly between Caroline and Stefan, and Elena and Damon were as thick as thieves (like usual).
Liz was just sitting in her office when one of the sergeants came in with a case file in his hand. "Hey Liz, hope your not too busy but a couple of officers from a small town want us to check out this case that the just can't seem to solve. They come from Rosewood, not far from here actually." She stood up and took the file from his hands, 'Rosewood…Rosewood, that just sounds so familiar' she thought to herself in her head. "Yeah, sure, I'll check it out" she said while skim reading through the pages. "Awesome, thanks. I'll um, let you get to it then" he finished with a smile, which she returned.
She dawdled back to her desk, thinking why the name Rosewood sounded so known to her. As she read through the file Elena's name came up…
Aria Montgomery, Spencer Hastings, Emily Fields, Hanna Maron and Elena Gilbert were all involved with the murder of the best friends, Alison Dilaurentis. They were seen holding the murder weapon at an attempted burying. They are all officially murder suspects with evidence, but not enough to charge them fully. We are still gathering evidence to with hold against them.
Liz couldn't believe it. That's exactly where she had heard the name from, Miranda had mentioned it to her when she had said her and Grayson moved because of 'incidents' as they referred to it. She didn't want to believe it until she saw photos. All five of them in jumpsuits, staring guilty at the camera. She put her hand over her mouth, 'Could Elena really have done this? How many other secrets does she have?'
The next day she went to the Salvator house, she had called everyone there, (Damon, Elena, Stefan, Caroline, Jeremy, Bonnie, Matt and Tyler) half an hour before hand. When she arrived, everyone was sitting on the couch, not really knowing what to expect…
