Luchia sighed, she realised Kaito would never figure out who his mermaid was. Tears streamed down her face, she wiped her eyes wearily before breaking out into her tears.
Foot steps and someone came to sit next to her, a soft hand was placed on her shoulder, "It's okay Luchia-sama" The voice cooed to her, "Kait-?" she began but looked up to see the smiling yet sad face of Gaito.
Luchia bounced away from him by 2 metres and pointed a finger at him, "You're my enemy! Go away!" she cursed him, Gaito smiled sadly before holding out his hand, "I mean you no harm Luchia-sama, trust me" he smiled that one kind of smile you could trust.
Luchia took his hand and looked into his steely cold yet warm eyes, "I love you Luchia-sama, please remember that" he whispered before turning away and diving into the waters next to them. "Wait!" Luchia dived in after him, she swam up to him, her blonde tails wavering in the cool waters.
"I-i" She hugged him tightly, "Love you too, Gaito-sama" they sealed the night with a single kiss. Luchia didn't need Kaito, not when she had Gaito.
