Kyoya held the guitar in his hands, almost forgetting how to play it. He struck a few chords, and looked down at the dying girl in the hospital bed. He began to sing,

"Your Eyes
As We Said Our Goodbyes
Can't Get Them Out Of My Mind
And I Find I Can't Hide (From)
Your Eyes
The Ones That Took Me By Surprise
The Night You Came Into My Life
Where There's Moonlight
I See Your Eyes

How'd I Let You Slip Away
When I'm Longing So To Hold You
Now I'd Die For One More Day
'Cause There's Something I Should
Have Told You
Yes There's Something I Should Have
Told You

When I Looked Into Your Eyes
Why Does Distance Make Us Wise?
You Were The Song All Along
And Before The Song Dies

I Should Tell You I Should Tell You
I Have Always Loved You
You Can See It In My Eyes
"

Renge smiled weakly.

"Can you sing it again?" She begged.

And so, he sang to her all night. His voice became more strained with each verse, but he didn't care. She was the moon and stars to him, and he just wanted her to know. Tears flooded his eyes as her voice became wispy, as if she were only a ghost; a mere reflection of the Renge he had fallen in love with.

"Kyoya," she whispered, using her last bits of strength to reach for his hand, "breathing hurts. I'm scared."

He kissed her head, and his voice seemed to be clogged by sorrow.

"Hush," he said, trying to soothe her, "you're going to be fine."

"No, I'm not," she protested, "and I'm okay with that. I just want to tell you that…that…I…love…you…" she closed her eyes, and stopped breathing. Peacefully, her heart stopped soon after.

Kyoya sobbed, but he couldn't take his eyes from her angel face.

"You're a real angel now," he said quietly, standing up. He left the room, where the host club was waiting.

They looked hopeful, but he shook his head. They all cried into each other, leaning on their friends for support.

Haruhi reached her hand out to Kyoya, but he just walked away. He didn't know where he was going, but he kept walking. He swore, as he saw the sun rise, that he could hear a sweet,

"OH!-HO!-HO!-HO!" of Renge's laughter in the distance.

Me: BWAAAAAAAAHHH! *cries* I was listening to the song "Your Eyes" from the musical Rent, and I was getting all choked up. I should probably be doing my homework right now…*sweatdrops*…heheh…Anyways, I want to celebrate, because 1 year ago today, I discovered my first anime (Ouran, of course) and this is kind of a dedication to Kyoya and Renge.
