And welcome to Ultimate Showdown Extra: Q&A
So the purpose of this post is mainly to help set up a project that I'm doing. I will be doing an ongoing series of versus fanfics which I'll be calling the "Ultimate Showdown." Each of these stories will essentially put two different characters against one another to see who I believe would win in my opinion. However the main series itself won't be out for a few months minimum as I'll be working on a few side entries in order to make this project easier to handle.
As some of you can tell by the "Extra," being in the name of this post. This post is part of those side entries that I just mentioned. My hope for this entry is to serve as something of a middle man between me and potential readers to the main Ultimate Showdown series. Doing things such as answering various questions on the series as a whole. Notifying you of potential versus ideas and story changes to fit those ideas. Hell I'll even post my story format that I plan on using for this series for those who wish to do their own.
That aside, I don't expect to be posting here all that much as I've yet to start the main series and there is quite a bit that I need to do before I return to do this post. Hopefully my writing skills will get better in that time.
So I guess I should start by telling you all what I have planned in the coming weeks. So here I go.
Starting sometime later today or tomorrow. I'll be posting the second tied-in entry to the Ultimate Showdown series called "Ultimate Showdown Extra: Character Profiles," This entry is mainly set up to help make things easier for the future. Within this entry, I'll be posting a new chapter or two every two weeks. Each entry within character profiles will go over a different character from a random franchise that I considered using for the main versus series. Whether or not they will appear in the main series itself is unknown. This is mainly to help me save time looking up these characters as these profiles will have a summary of their lore, powers, abilities, etc. These profiles will be updated whenever I get the time to do so. Just know that this won't be composite entries but individual entries. So you may see multiple entries of a single character such as Superman from DC's New Earth and Superman from the DC's New 52's Prime Earth as I consider them to be separate characters. If you have any characters you want to see a profile written for them. Feel free to let me know.
Anyways, This will hopefully help with the content gap between updates alongside other fanfic projects that I'll be doing. I already have a few entries for this mostly done. Just need some editing and restructuring and they should be up within the following week.
Second. Alongside these updates and the main USD series. I'll also be working on other fanfictions that I'll be posting as well. I got a few ideas for a few fate/stay night crossover fanfic that I want to do as well. However, the update schedule for those will be up in the air. Hopefully it'll be one two chapters a month.
Next thing that I want to address. I will be working on about two different youtube channels. The first one being my own. Which I'll be posting videos to act as support pieces for the USD series. Either by doing videos on versus fights for stories already done or even for those fights that I can't reasonably do a written version for. I'll be other videos such as video forms of the character profiles or even ones talking about different subjects such comic and gaming news.
The second channel is mainly to help a family member get their own cooking channel moving on their own.
The last bit of news will be that in between all of this. I'll be working on my own original content such as novels, animation(maybe), etc. Hopefully everything works out well for what I have planned.
With that all said. With everything that I'm planning on doing. For the most part, I can't promise an actual update schedule. Mainly due to the fact that most of these are things that I either don't really know or don't have the practice to maintain a constant speed for right now. Something that will change as time goes on and I progress through all of this.
So yeah that's about it. The first entry for the USD Extra: Character Profiles will be up some time between today and tomorrow. There isn't much left for me to do for that one.
So that's it for now.
