Rin wasn't practically drunk. The word she would choose to use is elated. Even if it was false pretenses brought on by honey mead and little umbrellas, she was overjoyed. Tomorrow the reality of the day would come over her. She was now jobless, single, and coming up on her thirtieth in under 21 hours. But for right now, she was over the moon.
She walked along the beach, kicking at shells and clumsily tripping over the uneven sand. Her feet found water and lost a shoe. In solidarity with her right foot, her left choose to abandon their shoe as well. Tomorrow, she would regret that as those were her business shoes after all. Now she couldn't help but think they were ugly anyway.
Coming up on her beach house, Rin staggered to a stop noticing the small fire that the dimming out. She had to blink once, twice, three times before she realized beside the pathetic excuse of a fire was a man. Moonlight kissed skin and near blue-silver hair. He was beautiful, even tomorrow her would agree.
"It's cold." She managed.
Rin staggard to her gate that led to her own little abode. Pushing the gate away from her, she went forward, falling to the ground by sheer happenstance that her hands held onto the bars and pulled her with it. Her body managed to twist around as she practically dangled there off the gate, forcing her to stare at the back of the man's head. Embarrassingly, it took her a couple beats to find her feet again.
"I'll leave my door unlocked if what wanna get warm, kid," she said, actually leaving the door open fully open as opposed to unlocked. Rin fell face first into her couch and found that it was the most comfortable thing she's ever laid upon. Sleep came to her quick, but not before she heard the door close and footsteps walk by her.
