Your hair, immaculate as always.
Your eyes ablaze,
And when I look into them
I can see your soul.
Brightly shinning with concealed love, concealed hope.
Hope that this war will end and you can
Spend the rest of your existence with your friends,
Friends that became your new family.
Your true family.
I see you standing there.
Olive toned hands buried
In the pockets of your pants.
Head craned up towards the sky,
Glittering brightly with stars.
Your only moment of peace
In this mad world.
And I realize that I want you.
I don't know how or why,
But I want you.
Want you to be apart of me,
Deep within me,
Forever and always.
What would Grandfather say to that, I muse.
But I will keep my distance,
For you are my enemy until this war ends.
And when it does,
I may consider seeking you out.
