As he stared at her dead body, still holding hands with the man she loved, he realised he would never love again. Tears blurred in his eyes as he fumbled with the locket she had on given him. A small silver ring with a simply band fell out along with a note, yellowing in age. His heart leaped as he saw her neat curly handwriting glittering on the page. Dear Charlie I'm so sorry for hurting. I loved you but as a brother. You deserve better than me. Give this to the girl you love. Always shinning bright no matter what. Lots of love N. Tonks He knelt beside her still body and took her slim, ice-cold hand. He slipped the ring on her finger. "You're the one I love," he whispered letting his fingers run across the soft strand of her bright hair for the last time. "Charlie? What are you doing?". He stood up, rubbing his eyes. "Just saying goodbye...I guess," said Charlie hugging his sister hard "Did you know Tonks?" asked Ginny curiously. "Once apon a time she was my girlfriennd," he said sadly walking away with his arm around Ginny. Two weeks later Charlie was cleaning out his room when he found his 7th year photo album. Photos of Tonks with multi-colour hair, laughing, pouting and smiling. When he saw her at Bill's wedding for the first time in seven years he realised what he'd lost. She was married, pregnant and ready to grow up. The night of his brother's wedding he cried himself to sleep. Tears fell down his cheeks as he watched his girlfriend laugh at Quidditch matches. In all his life he had only loved her. A sharp knock at the door had sent him scrambling to his feet and wiping his face with his sleve. "Hey Charlie," said Ginny wandering in and sitting on his bed crossed legged. "Hey Gin," he replied hoarsely. "Why are you crying?" she asked hugging his pillow. "How do you-" he began. "Your eyes are red and your voice is hoarse. Please tell me why," she pledded wiping a tear that had escaped from his eye. "Tonks...I...love her too much to say goodbye forever," he cried into her shoulder. "Is that why you never had an other girlfriend?" asked Ginny. Charlie just sobbed harder.
