The Bear's lament

The truth, it often lies

Simple facts, the heart denies

What I felt for her that day

I simply could not say

Nights were dreamless escapades

As the darkness slowly fades

I think of her, and all is well

Will she know, time will tell

She conquered hearts, minds and lands

All with those seemingly gentle hands

She is a fire burning bright

I am a shadow dancing in its light

Perhaps when all is set and done

I will not be the one

But my joy will be

Knowing that my queen remembers me
