Today is a father who will never escort his daughter down the aisle at her wedding.
Today is a mother who will never spoil a grandchild.
Today is a son who will never buy his first home.
Today is a daughter who will never be excited about her new job.
Today is a husband who will never watch his child being born.
Today is a wife who will never plan a surprise party.
Today is all these people and so many more.
Today is the day we remember not just what was lost, but also what never will be.
That is today.
