Edmund.

Edmund tossed and turned in the hammock. A nightmare began to plague his dreams.

I've missed you. Come with me.

He jerked awake, gasping for breath. Looking around, he noticed Caspian was gone. Probably with Drinian. He ran a shaky hand through his hair.

"Must have been my imagination." An all-too-familiar voice brought him back to reality.

"Think again, little king."

The boy whirled around and frozed almost instantly. Hovering not five feet away was a dark, glowing figure. The form was of the one person the just king thought he would never see again. The White Witch.

Edmund quickly reached for his sword and held it out before him. He couldn't think straight, sweat began beaming on his forehead.

"Y-you're dead. Aslan killed you. You can't be -" His words were interrupted by a merciless laugh rendered by witch herself.

"Did you really think you could get rid of me that easily? I'll always be apart of your mind, silly boy. For you and I are connected."

"No." He looked up at her, his eyes full of determination and hatred. "I've played a puppet to your games for far too long. I'm not the same greedy, selfish child I used to be. I never was. You tempted me, turned me against my own family."

He slowly arose, weapon still in hand and taking large steps towards Jadis. She looked up at him in shock, backing up each time he came closer.

"I wanted to feel noticed. Feel like someone actually loved me. I fell for your spell, and didn't realize that you were only using me. That my family actually did care for me. You tried to kill us and end the long foretold prophesy. But guess what? You failed. I'm no longer going to suffer the fear of you. You're nothing but a temptress, seeking to suck the life out of men looking to be heard. I've changed, I now see right from wrong and you no longer have control of me."

With a shout, he lunged forward and stabbed her with all the force he could muster.

The figure disappeared, her scream still echoed within the room.

Edmund fell to his knees and panted hard. A hand gently squeezed his shoulder.

He turned to see Caspian and Lucy looking down at him with curious eyes.

"We heard a scream...What happened?"

The boy sheathed his sword back into his belt and smirked softly.

"A quick lash to end something I've been meaning to close."
