Old Wounds

They won't heal,

They remain,

After all this time.

These scars,

From battles lost,

Long ago.

I didn't,

Have the strength,

To do what had,

To be done.

But now,

I have the chance,

To put things right,

Finally.

These wounds,

Will heal,

When their

Memories are,

Avenged.

For that is all,

We have, memories,

I, too, am just,

A memory,

Whose wounds,

Would not let,

Die.
