AN- Need to make up Blame It on the Alcohol for myself. Not that it wasn't a good episode, it just was as Klaine-tastic as I would have liked. Please enjoy.
Kurt groans into his coffee but tries to be the 'supportive friend'
This is the third time Blaine has started talking about Rachel and their drunken kiss in which he swears there was something. And after their last blowout in the coffee shop, Kurt is honestly not trying to be a jerk.
But he needs to count to maybe fifty and take a deep breath before he leans across the table, grabs Blaine by the shoulders, and shakes his friend-slash-object-of-his-affections, all the while screaming "You're gay!"
Instead, he takes another sip of coffee and nods like he totally understands when Blaine begins describing in detail how he felt when he pressed his lips against Rachel's.
"So, and don't think I'm being Debbie-Downer or anything, but," Kurt begins when Blaine has finally taken a breath, "But, well, don't you think it's a little sudden. When I first met you, you seemed very out of the closet and happy about it. And, now, suddenly you kissed a girl and you liked it? I mean, I know you're a huge Katy Perry fan but I think this appreciation is going overboard."
"Kurt," Blaine sighs, "I don't know. I mean, I never even considered the possibility that I liked girls. I always assumed from the moment I thought Justin Timberlake was hotter than Brittney that I was gay. It's not like I tried kissing girls to see any different."
"But, you didn't kiss any guys either. To make sure?" Kurt has to know, draining his coffee in one sip.
Both boys stand and begin putting on their coats and scarves, hitching their respective messenger bags up their shoulders. They toss their now empty coffee cups in the trash and walk out into the cool midday. When they're a block away from the coffee shop, Kurt questions him again.
Blaine shakes his head. "No. I've never kissed anyone, actually. Until now. And I am as surprised as you are that my first kiss was with a girl but this just makes the argument for the bisexual case even stronger."
"But you were drunk," Kurt supplies. "And you've never kissed a boy. So, before you jump on the bandwagon, you should make completely sure."
Blaine raises an eyebrow. "And how do you suggest I do that?"
Kurt stops in the middle of the sidewalk and Blaine watches him with a curious expression. The younger boy takes a deep breath, grabs Blaine's tie and pulls the shorter boy towards him, pressing their lips together in a kiss he's been waiting for since teenage-fucking-dream.
Blaine's frozen for only a minute before he cups Kurt's face in his hands and slowly kisses him back. And Kurt cannot be the only one imaging the sparks and however 'nice' Blaine's kiss was with Rachel, there is no way in hell that it's hotter than what's happening between the two of them right now.
"So," Kurt gasps as they pull away for air, "did that change your mind?"
Blaine swallows, his eyes closed, breathing heavily. "No."
Kurt's face falls until he catches the mischevious grin on Blaine's face.
"I think I'm gonna need you to do that again."
"Just to make sure?"
"Just to make sure."
And Kurt is only happy to oblige.
In the end, Rachel is able to write a soulful and extremely deep song about that it's like to fall for a guy who's secretly always been in love with your gay best. She considers it her greatest masterpiece and, as Kurt reads it in the Dalton common room with his arm around Blaine's shoulders, he's only too happy to agree.
